Terms of service — JukeWorld Radio

Last updated: 7 November 2026

These terms apply to the JukeWorld Radio app for Android, Android Auto and Wear OS ("the app") and to this website. The app is developed by Juan Antonio Gestal Romaní (Gestal.es Apps); contact and company details are in the legal notice. By installing or using the app you accept these terms.

What the app does

JukeWorld Radio plays live internet radio stations from around the world, picked by a roulette based on your tastes, and keeps a music passport, stats and achievements on your device. It has no accounts, no advertising, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

Purchase and refunds

The app is sold on Google Play for a one-time payment. Google processes the payment, applies the taxes of your country and handles refunds under the Google Play terms of service and its refund policy. The price is shown on Google Play before you buy. If you have a problem with the app, write to juan@gestal.es and we will try to fix it.

Licence to use

When you buy the app you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on the devices linked to your Google account, as allowed by Google Play. The app's source code is published under the MIT licence; the name "JukeWorld Radio", the logo and the design are not covered by that licence and may not be used to present another app or service as ours.

Radio stations and third-party content

The stations are run by third parties and are found through the community directory Radio Browser. We do not control their programming, their advertising, their availability or the metadata they broadcast, and we do not host or rebroadcast their audio: the app connects your device directly to each station. Stations may stop working, change or broadcast content you find inappropriate. The app tries to skip ads and talk radio automatically, but this detection is not perfect. Country texts come from Wikipedia/Wikidata and maps from OpenStreetMap.

Acceptable use

Use the app for personal listening. Do not use it to record, redistribute or publicly broadcast the stations' content without their permission, and do not try to disrupt the services it relies on.

Your data

The app does not collect personal data: your passport, likes and settings stay on your device. You can export and import them as a file. Details in the privacy policy.

Availability and updates

We may update the app to fix bugs, add features or adapt it to changes in Android, Google Play, Android Auto, Wear OS or the third-party services it uses. Some features depend on those services and on your internet connection, so we cannot guarantee that every station or feature will always be available.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided with the care of a small independent developer. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content. Within those limits, we are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party stations, for data charges from your mobile operator (use the "Wi-Fi only" or "Data saver" options if needed), or for indirect damages. Nothing limits liability for intent, gross negligence or anything that cannot be limited by law.

Driving

Android Auto is designed to be used safely while driving. Follow traffic rules, use voice commands and do not handle your phone while driving.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will publish the new version on this page with its date. Important changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and any dispute will be heard by the courts of your place of residence.
